Kalpatta: Due to the protests related to the death of Siddharth, the director of the academy has informed that there will be no regular classes in Pookode Veterinary College from March 5th to 10th. The Ladies Hostel of the Veterinary College was also closed.
The action is taken keeping in view the current atmosphere in the college. The girls were not allowed to go home from the hostel and there was a big protest from the parents. Once the hostel is closed, the girls can go home.
At the same time, the opposition has decided to continue the strike until the government accepts the demands, including a CBI investigation into Siddharth’s death. After visiting Siddharth’s house, the opposition leader VD Satheesan said that the family is not satisfied with the police investigation. The opposition leader had written a letter demanding a CBI investigation. Education Minister V Sivankutty also responded that the government will look into the matter and take action.
