Siddharth’s mysterious death, all accused arrested.

Kalpetta: All the accused have been arrested in the case related to the death of Pookod Veterinary College student Siddharth. The accused, including Sinjo Johnson, a native of Kollam, who is the mastermind of the mob trial, were taken into custody on Saturday. With this, all 18 accused in the case were arrested.

Sinjo Johnson, the main accused in the case, was arrested by the police in the morning. The youth was caught by the police in Kalpatta when he was about to surrender. Siddharth’s father had said that Sinjo was the one who beat Siddharth the most and led the brutal mob trial. The anti-squad’s report also says that the SFI activists committed unparalleled atrocities against Siddharth.

Apart from Sinjo, J. Ajay (24), a native of Pathanamthitta Adoor, A. Altaf (21), a native of Kollam Paravoor, R. S. a native of Kollam East. Kashinathan (25), Mohammad Danish and Adityan were arrested by the police on Saturday. On Saturday morning, the police had issued a lookout notice for the four accused involved in the case.

A lookout notice has been issued against Saud Rizal, Kashinathan, Ajay Kumar and Sinjo Johnson. It was after this that Kashinathan and others were caught by the police.

Siddharth was found to have committed suicide in the washroom of the hostel on the 18th following the SFI mob trial. A case has been registered against the accused under the Prohibition of Ragging Act, abetment of suicide and assault.
