A 40-year-old man has been arrested in the case of circulating a nude picture of a 13-year-old girl he met through Instagram in Kollam Kadakkal. Vinod, a native of Cherthala, was arrested.
Vinod met the girl through Instagram two weeks ago. Nude pictures and obscene scenes were sent to the child’s WhatsApp. He showed the child his own nakedness through a video call. The case is that the nude picture of the child was sent to friends during continuous chatting.
When the parents noticed that the child was using the phone for a long time when they checked the phone, they found nude pictures and obscene scenes on the phone. When the parents realized that all this was sent to the child and that the child had sent it for Vinod, the parents lodged a complaint with the Kadaikal police.
The police registered a POCSO case and arrested the accused from Malappuram. Vinod, a carpenter, is married and father of two children.
