Kozhikode: Students staged a strong protest against the night-time restriction in Calicut NIT. Classes were moved online amid strong protests. The authorities have informed that the classes will be held online till the 5th of next month. It has also been informed that the examinations of the final year students will be held as scheduled.
The Dean had given instructions the other day asking students to enter the hostel before 12 o’clock in the night. Also, the canteens are open only till 11 pm. An order has been issued in this regard. The students are protesting against this order.
The canteens have been asked to close at 11 o’clock citing the fact that eating food late at night can affect health. The authorities have warned the students that those who violate the instructions mentioned in the circular will be suspended.
