Tamil film producer Dilli Babu passed away. He was 50 years old. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chennai for some time due to health problems. The death occurred on Monday at 12:30 am. Dilli Babu is a producer who has produced several mid-budget success films under the banner Access Film Factory.
The first film was Urumeen which was released in 2015. Produced films such as Maradagata Coin, Iravuk Thousand Eyes, Rakshasan, Oh My Kadavule, Bachelor, Miral and Kalvan. Kalvan was released last month. Producer SR Prabhu recalled in X Post that the producer who gave a chance to many new directors with mid-budget films left. Released in 2018, Rakshasan was one of the surprise hits in Tamil that year. It was also the most money making Varipadam made by Dilli Babu. It was later remade into various languages.
Rakshasan music director Gibran Dilli Babu was remembered by X Post as a person who pursued a dream with a goal and a hard work and commitment to achieve it. A public visit will be held at his residence in Chennai from 10:00 am on Monday. The close relatives inform that the funeral will be held at 4:30 pm. The producer’s departure comes as the pre-production work of the film Valiyam is in progress.
