Chennai: A three-year-old boy was killed and his body was hidden in a washing machine in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. Sanjay, son of Vignesh and Ramya couple of Tirunelveli, died. Sanjay is their second son. In the incident, the neighbor Thankammal was arrested by the police.
At 9:30 in the morning, the baby went missing while playing in the backyard. Then they lodged a complaint with the police. When the police arrived and searched the houses in the area, they found the body tied in a sack inside the washing machine.
While the police were inspecting the houses, Thankammal was seen fleeing to another house. On noticing this, the police got suspicious and when they searched their house, they found the baby’s body tied in a sack in the washing machine.
The body has been sent for post-mortem. The police said that they are investigating the reason for the murder. Some people say that their families are enmity. Thankammal’s son had died recently. Some of the locals said that they were addicted to depression after this. The police also said that after questioning Thankammal in detail, things will be clear.
