Chennai: A teacher who was being treated for food poisoning died. Shweta, a 22-year-old private school teacher from Chennai, died. Relatives say that Shweta got food poisoning after eating shawarma. A native of Noombal, Chennai, Shweta ate shawarma at a local fast food restaurant a week ago.
After reaching home, I also ate fish curry. That very night, Shweta vomited and fainted. The family immediately took him to a private hospital in Porur. He was taken to Government Stanley Hospital on Tuesday after his condition did not improve. He died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday. Police registered a case and started investigation. The Maduravoyal police said they are waiting for the post-mortem report to confirm whether the shawarma that Shweta ate was the cause of death.
