The Kerala Motor Vehicles Department restricts the number of people attenting in driving test to fifty per day

Thiruvananthapuram: KB Ganesh Kumar’s suggestion in the meeting of Motor Vehicle Department officials is that it is enough to conduct the test of 50 people from tomorrow. Officials are confused as to how to implement the proposal.

An order was issued earlier to conduct a new type of driving test from May 1. Only 30 candidates are required to take the exam in the new track. Another odd suggestion is when there is undecided who will bear the burden of building the track and the practical difficulties involved in reducing the Test to 30.

The RTOs have been instructed to conduct a test of 50 people from tomorrow in the first official meeting called. Usually 100 to 180 tests a day. When it is reduced to 50, who will be exempted, what will be the criteria, and how the new dates will be given to those exempted, are not clearly answered.

Driving school owners are not cooperating with the instructions in the driving test from May 1. It is estimated that the new directive is putting pressure on the school owners who are impatient with the minister’s directive. Driving school organizations are likely to take the decision to boycott the driving test. It has also been proposed to cancel the permit of private buses that stop their last trip and vehicles of companies that have taken road development contracts for violating the law.
