Pathanamthitta: Sabarimala temple grounds will be opened today for Idavamasa pooja. Pratishtha Day is celebrated on 18th. Today at five o’clock in the evening, temple Tantri Kantarar Mahesh Mohanar will open the shrine and light the lamps in the temple sannidhi. Melashanti then opens the Ganapati and Nagar sub-deity shrines and after lighting the lamps, lights the fire in front of the 18th step. Then Tantri and Melshanthi will distribute Vibhuti Prasad to the Ayyappa devotees.

There will be no pujas at Sabarimala Ayyappa Sannidhi and Malikappuram temple today, when the Nata opens. But devotees can have darshan. After singing Harivarasanam at 10 pm, Thirunada will be closed and the temple will be opened at 5 am on July 15th. Nirmalya darshan and regular Abhishekam will be held. Mahaganapati home at 5:30 p.m. Then the ghee anointing will begin.

Ushapuja at 7:30. Uchapuja at 12:30. On five days from May 15 to 19, there will be Udayastamaya Puja, 25 Kalasabhishekam, Kalabhabhishekam, Padipuja and Pushpabhishekam. Tirunada, which closes daily at 1 PM, reopens at 5 PM. Devotees can reach for darshan by booking through virtual queue. After completing five days of pujas, the temple will be closed by singing Harivarasanam on Tirunada 19 at 10 pm.
