There is no need to file a case against P.C. George over the ‘Love Jihad’ remark, says the police

The police have stated that there is no need to file a case against P.C. George over his ‘Love Jihad’ remark. The decision was made based on legal advice. George had claimed in his speech that 400 girls were lost to Love Jihad in the Meenachil taluk alone. His controversial remark was made during an anti-drug seminar held in Pala.

The complaint was filed by Youth Congress Thodupuzha Constituency President Bilal Samad and the Erattupetta Youth League. Sharif Karamoola, a native of Mukkam, Kozhikode, also lodged a complaint regarding the controversial speech. The Youth League has stated that they plan to approach the court against the police’s stance.
