The United States has killed the top leader of the Islamic State in a precise airstrike. The U.S. has officially confirmed the death of Abu Khadija, also known as Abdullah Makki Muslih Al-Rifai, a high-ranking ISIS leader feared and despised worldwide.
The fugitive ISIS leader in Iraq has been eliminated. “Our brave warriors relentlessly hunted him down. In coordination with the Iraqi government and the Kurdish regional government, his reign of terror has come to an end along with another ISIS member,” U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
The large-scale counterterrorism operation was carried out by the U.S. in cooperation with Iraqi intelligence and security forces in the Al Anbar province of Iraq. Abu Khadija was the global operations chief of the Islamic State (ISIS) and one of the top commanders of the group worldwide. He was responsible for thousands of killings and held several high-ranking positions, including the supreme military commander of ISIS.
