Two Accused Arrested in Case of Tribal Youth Dragged on Road

Two people have been arrested in the case of a tribal youth being dragged into a car in Mananthavady. Harshid and Abhiram, natives of Kaniyambatta, have been arrested. Five people are accused in the case. A case of attempt to murder was registered against them.

Mathan, a native of Payyambally, was brutally attacked when he went to prevent a clash between tourists who had come to see the check dam the other day. The Chief Minister also directed the police to take strict action against the accused. The car in which the accused were travelling was taken into custody by the police the other day.

The youth was dragged along the Mananthavady-Pulpally road for about half a kilometer by holding his hand against the car door. The Mananthavady police, who had filed a case of attempt to murder against the accused the other day, identified all five accused. The accused are Arshad, a native of Kaniyampatta, Mohammed Arshid and Abhiram, natives of Pachilakad, Kaniyampatta, and Vishnu and Nabeel Kamar, natives of Panamaram.
