Palakkad: Two forest department officials were caught red-handed while accepting a bribe in Kadambazhipuram, Palakkad. The arrested officials are Forest Surveyor Franklin George and Beat Forest Officer Sujith.
The officials allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹35,000 for issuing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to a private landowner whose property is adjacent to forest department land. They were caught while measuring the land and accepting the bribe. Further investigations are underway.
