Vellappally Natesan Slams Muslim League, Alleges Caste Politics and Marginalization of Ezhava Community

Alappuzha: SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan has launched a scathing attack on the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), claiming he is being targeted for not aligning with them. “I can’t even say the letter ‘M’ — if I do, it becomes ‘Malappuram’, it becomes ‘Muslim’,” he remarked, accusing the Muslim League of turning itself into a communal party.

He emphasized that he has never spread religious hatred, yet the League refuses to leave him alone. “Their attack stems from the fact that I won’t act like their slave,” he said. He accused the party of trying to “drag him to the slaughterhouse” and sharing benefits only among their wealthy, while branding anyone who questions them as communal.

Natesan alleged that some Muslim League leaders are secretly working against him and criticized the BJP for not being fair to BDJS. “The BDJS could not achieve the progress we envisioned,” he added.

He further stated that the Ezhava community has never received true social justice and continues to face neglect in Kerala. “While some communities have organized into vote banks and seized power, sharing it to build their own empires, the Ezhavas remain sidelined,” he said. Calling SNDP a movement born out of injustice based on caste, he reaffirmed that their struggle is for justice and equality.
