Malappuram: The Health Department has taken action against Prabhin, the husband of Vishnuja, who died by suicide in Elankur, Malappuram. Prabhin, who is currently in judicial remand, has been suspended from his job. He was working as a staff nurse at Manjeri Government Medical College Hospital.
Prabhin has been charged with abetment of suicide and dowry harassment in connection with Vishnuja’s death. According to the complaint, he allegedly subjected her to constant mental harassment over her appearance, lack of a job, and insufficient dowry. Prabhin is currently in jail following a court order.
