Wayanad Tragedy: Missing Persons to Be Presumed Dead, Says Government

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has taken an important decision regarding the Wayanad landslide disaster. The new decision is to consider those missing following the landslide as dead.

A list will be prepared for this. Two committees have been formed for financial assistance to the deceased. A local committee and a state-level committee will be formed for further steps. The local committee will prepare the list of the deceased.

Help for the families of the missing was also a major need of the victims. Four months after the Chooralmala and Mundakai landslides, 32 people are still missing.
