The High Court has granted bail to industrialist Bobby Chemmanur, who is on remand in the case of sexually assaulting actress Honey Rose. The order will be issued at 3.30 pm. The prosecution has taken the stand that bail should not be granted. Bobby’s bail application was considered for the 108th time by the bench of Justice P.V. Kunjikrishnan.
The court asked how it can be said that there was no double standard used against Honey Rose. If the case is argued on the merits, it cannot be accepted. The court said that the actress is being insulted again in the petition. The court also explained that the public should understand the consequences of making such remarks. The court also asked whether there is a need to continue in custody. The government informed the court that Bobby regularly makes such remarks.
In her complaint against Honey Rose Bobby, she says that he grabbed her hand and twisted it and made a double use of it. He touched her with sexual intent without her consent. He made her wear a necklace without her consent during an inauguration event. After that, the complaint says that he touched her hand and body without her consent and held her hand and twisted it without her consent. The complaint also says that he made a double use of it, saying, “Look at the back of the necklace.” The actress’ complaint also says that this abuse was committed in the middle of the public during a public event.
