Kollam: Shanthigiri Ashram General Secretary Swami Gururatnam Gjanathapasvi said that Yousafali was a philanthropist who vowed to be charitable by constantly providing help to the common people and the needy. Lulugroup and its companies are a symbol of Kerala’s diversity. The inextricable connection between Shanthigiri Ashram and Lulugroup is a glimpse of Kerala’s diversity.
Swami was speaking at Lulugroup’s Ramazan fasting food donation reception held at Shanthigiri Ashram Spiritual Zone Conference Hall. Lulu Group Regional Director Joy Shadanandan and Fair Exports General Manager Muhammad Rafi handed over a check of Rs.10 lakh to Shanthigiri Ashram General Secretary Swami Gururatnam Gnanathapasvi. Last year also in the month of Ramzan, 10 lakh rupees was given as Yusafali for food donation in Shantigiri.
Padma Shri Dr. MA Yousafali is a person who respects, respects and stands with all other faiths even though he is a complete religious person. That is how he occupies a place in our hearts. All his activities are based on faith in man. Swami said that a person who sticks to the contemporary society overcomes the crises and understands the sufferings and becomes one of them and then he becomes a personality who embraces thousands and tens of thousands like them. Yusufali gave the amount for ten days of food. Free food is given to many people including visitors to the ashram. It continues in ashram branches across the country. Swamy said that he has been in close contact with MA Yousafali since 2006. Last year also in the month of Ramzan, 10 lakh rupees was given as Yusafali for food donation in Shanthigiri.
MA Yousafali’s compassionate touch to Kollam Mundaikkal Poorhome without breaking the routine for the eighth year. Yousafali handed over a financial aid of Rs 25 lakh as a Ramzan gift to the mothers and other inmates of the poor home. The poor home has a total of 105 inmates including men and women. For the eighth year in a row, Yusafali has provided non-stop assistance to feed everyone, improve infrastructure, provide new beds, toilets, treatment facilities and recreational facilities.
So far a financial assistance of Rs 2 crore has been handed over to Yousafali Poorhome. On behalf of MA Yousafali, Lulu Group Regional Director Joy Shadanandan handed over a DD of Rs 25 lakh to Poor Home Secretary Dr. D. Sreekumar. Kollam Mayor Prasanna Ernst, Deputy Mayor Kollam Madhu, Poor Home Managing Committee Member and Corporation Welfare Standing Committee Chairman Jayan, Division Councilor and Public Works Standing Committee Chairman Sajeev Soman, Poor Home Superintendent K. Valsalan were also present. In 2017, MA Yousafali provided the first financial assistance of 25 lakh rupees after the poor condition of Mundaikkal Poor Home came to be known through the media. This has been a great relief to the poor during the Covid crisis.
