KSRTC Collective leave of employees, action taken against 14 employees

Thiruvananthapuram: 14 KSRTC in the incident of collective leave without warning. Disciplinary action was taken against the employees. KSRTC In Pathanapuram unit, 10 regular category drivers who were absent from duty illegally on 29th and 30th April 2024 were transferred and four alternate category drivers were suspended from service.

The employees were taking leave en masse without any warning to inconvenience the passengers. As the employees took leave en masse, many services in the Pathanapuram unit had to be canceled and KSRTC. Passengers who depended on the services suffered hardship and KSRTC suffered a financial loss of Rs 1,88,665.

KSRTC has taken disciplinary action against the employees in the incident. Chairman and Managing Director Pramoj Shankar informed. KSRTC There are lakhs of passengers who depend only on the services. Such sudden cancellation of services will leave regular KSRTC commuters looking for alternative modes of travel. The Chairman and Managing Director responded that such irresponsible practices by a section of employees cannot be allowed in any way and strong action will be taken against such people.
