Lucknow: Shyam Kishore Gupta, a resident of Barola in Noida, has been arrested for spreading the deepfake video of Yogi Adityanath. The police said that the video contained content that filled the people with hatred and strengthened anti-nationalism.
The deepfake video was circulated through an X account named shyamguptarpswa. Shyam Gupta was arrested during the subsequent investigation. The accused was arrested during the investigation of the Special Task Force of the Uttar Pradesh Police. .
Recently, a fake video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also circulated on social media. A fake video of Amit Shah saying that reservation quota for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes should be abolished has been circulated. Five people were arrested in the incident.
