Thiruvananthapuram: The 20-coach Vande Bharat train service has been launched in Kerala. The train service commenced today, with four additional coaches included in the new configuration. This addition provides 312 extra seats for passengers. According to the Railways, the new Vande Bharat is expected to address complaints about insufficient seating capacity.
The 20-coach Vande Bharat trains were recently introduced by the Railways. The new train will replace the earlier 16-coach Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat (20634/20633).
Vande Bharat trains in Kerala have received an excellent response, with the state’s two Vande Bharat trains recording some of the highest occupancy rates in the country.
