Thrissur: A young man lost his hearing after being beaten up by a vehicle inspector for allegedly not stopping the vehicle. Shibin, a native of Anandapuram, has lost his hearing.
The vehicle inspector chased the vehicle and beat up the young man on the market road of Pudukkad after accusing him of not stopping the vehicle during the vehicle inspection.
The young man’s eardrum was broken in the beating. The young man, who sought treatment at the district hospital, is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thrissur. There is also an allegation that the youth lodged a complaint against the vehicle inspector with the Pudukkad police but no action was taken.
