Thiruvananthapuram: Central Meteorological Department has warned that there will be summer rains in the coming days to relieve the extreme heat. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in Wayanad district due to the possibility of isolated heavy rains in the next 5 days. Rain warning has been issued in all districts except Kasaragod today.
As part of the black sea phenomenon, there is a possibility of sea intrusion due to high waves along the Kerala coast, south Tamil Nadu coast and coastal low-lying areas. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center has informed that there is a possibility of sea storm due to high waves of 0.5 to 1.5 meters along Kerala coast and South Tamil Nadu coast from 02.30 am tomorrow to 11.30 pm Sunday.
Fishermen and coastal residents should be alert as there is a possibility of storm surge. As rough seas are likely to intensify, people should stay away from the danger areas as per the instructions of the authorities. Keep fishing vessels (boats, boats, etc.) safely moored in the harbor. Keeping a safe distance between boats can avoid the risk of collision. Safety of fishing equipment should be ensured.
