Red Alert; Warning of high waves on Kerala coast

Thiruvananthapuram: Red alert on Kerala coast. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center has informed that there is a possibility of high waves and sea attacks. The Disaster Management Authority has advised fishermen to be cautious. The notice also said that fishing vessels should be kept safe.

As part of the black sea phenomenon, extreme waves are likely to occur along Kerala coast, south Tamil Nadu coast and low-lying coastal areas from 02.30 am tomorrow to 11.30 pm the next day.

Due to this, there is a possibility of a strong sea attack, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center has informed. Fishermen and coastal residents should be cautious as there is a possibility of sea attack. As the rough seas are likely to intensify, the authorities have advised people to stay away from the danger areas as per the instructions of the authorities.

Avoid trips to the beach and activities at sea. All beaches must be closed from 10pm tonight. Keep fishing vessels (boats, boats, etc.) safely moored in the harbor. The authorities also suggested to ensure the safety of fishing equipment.
