Acid attack on young man in Pathanamthitta, election monitoring team came to the rescue

Pathanamthitta: The election monitoring team rescued a young man from an acid attack. Police arrested the accused in the incident. The incident took place at Placheri. The young man ran away from the Ponthanpuzha forest with injuries and was confronted by the officers. After investigating the information, the officers rescued the young man.

PT Dileep of the election monitoring team said that after two o’clock in the afternoon, a person was running from the Ponthanpuzha side. When he ran and fell down, they ran away. It is understood that the young man was attacked by acid. One part of the face, all over the hands and neck, the skin was in a loose condition.

The youth said that he was escaping when two men tried to kill him. Harikrishnan, who was in the observation team, provided first aid. The police was informed. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The police said that the attack was due to personal enmity. The accused were arrested.
