Following the resignation of P.P. Divya from the position of Kannur District Panchayat President, a new election was held today at 11 a.m.
Ratnakumari defeated Jubilee Chacko of the UDF with a margin of 16 votes to 7. P.P. Divya abstained from voting in the election.
