EP Jayarajan’s Autobiography Controversy: CPI(M) Seeks Explanation

As the controversy surrounding EP Jayarajan’s autobiography intensifies, the CPI(M) has sought an explanation from the Desabhimani writer who prepared the autobiography. The CPI(M) has requested clarification from Desabhimani’s Kannur Bureau Chief, Raghunath. The party is also investigating whether the autobiography was submitted to DC Books.

At the same time, the CPI(M) may seek an explanation from EP Jayarajan regarding the autobiography. The matter is expected to be discussed at the State Secretariat meeting on Friday. Meanwhile, EP Jayarajan will campaign today in Palakkad for LDF candidate Dr. P. Saran.

The autobiography, which was published under EP Jayarajan’s name, contains sharp criticism of Dr. P. Saran, which led to the current controversy. This prompted EP Jayarajan’s action, and he has also lodged a complaint with the Director General of Police regarding the book’s content.

Despite EP Jayarajan distancing himself from the book, his autobiography has placed the CPI(M) in a political and organizational defensive position. The book’s criticism of the by-election candidate and its justification of Javadekar’s meeting is politically putting the party on the defensive.
