New Delhi: The company has taken action against the employees who dragged the passengers and went on strike. Some of the striking cabin crew members were dismissed. The holiday was taken with the general purpose of affecting flight services. The action is based on the fact that the action has affected the public and the reputation of the company. Air India Express has also announced immediate dismissal. Scheduled flights were affected as employees took sick leave en masse.
It is pointed out that there is no reasonable reason behind the absence of a section of employees from work. More than 200 cabin crew members were taking sick leave. Many domestic and international services have been canceled since last day. Hundreds of passengers have suffered due to unexpected cancellation of services.
The crisis may continue till May 13. It is estimated that around 40 services will have to be canceled every day. Yesterday, 91 flights were canceled and 102 services were delayed. The entire schedule was disrupted, causing a lot of inconvenience to passengers. The company stated that this act has not only subverted the public interest, but also caused embarrassment, reputational damage and financial loss to the company. The company also pointed out that the Air India Express Limited Employees Service Rules applicable to employees are also in violation.
