Alappuzha’s Kalarkode witnessed a heart-wrenching tragedy late last night, where five MBBS students lost their lives in a horrific accident. The condition of the injured medical students, who are undergoing treatment, shows improvement.
According to medical reports, two students who were on ventilators have been taken off support. Among the five injured, one student’s condition is reported to be satisfactory. Earlier, Albin, another injured student, was transferred to a private hospital in Ernakulam for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the last rites of Devananda, one of the deceased, were conducted at her ancestral home in Tharavadu, Pala Mattakara, Kottayam. The ceremony, held at her father’s ancestral house, began at noon and was attended by a large number of mourners.
