Devendra Fadnavis will take oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra today. The ceremony will be held at Azad Maidan at 5:30 PM. The event will be attended by the Prime Minister, nine Union Ministers, and three Chief Ministers.
According to high-level sources, around 50,000 people are expected to witness the oath-taking ceremony. Governors, Chief Ministers, and Deputy Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states, along with senior leaders from the BJP and NDA, will also attend the event.
In a BJP legislative party meeting held on Wednesday, Fadnavis was unanimously elected as the leader. Shiv Sena leader and former Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and NCP leader Ajit Pawar will assume the roles of Deputy Chief Ministers. At 54 years old, Fadnavis will be sworn in as the 21st Chief Minister of Maharashtra. This will be his third term as Chief Minister.
