Arjun’s Family Allowed to Reach Shirur, everyone should work together; Minister

Shirur: Minister Mohammad Riyas said that everyone should work together to find Arjun, who went missing in the landslide. The Government of Karnataka has been requested to use all possible mechanisms. He said that they would look into bringing in local fishermen and divers for rescue operations.

Riyas added that he has informed the district collector that pontoons should be brought regardless of the difficulty. The main decision in the meeting held on Friday was that pontoons would be brought for the rescue operation. But in the meeting held on Saturday morning, the Karnataka government informed that there are some obstacles in bringing the pontoons. But

Kerala has taken the position that pontoons must be delivered. With this, the District Collector contacted the pontoon team again. “The collector has now informed that the team from Rajasthan will arrive by night,” said the minister.

Muhammad Riaz informed that steps have been taken to reach Shirur for Arjun’s family. The Minister made it clear that the decision to grant passes to the three members of the family was made in the discussion with the District Collector and the decision was made considering the mood of the family.
