Tribute to Pervez Musharraf in Alappuzha, Behind Bank of India

In the notice of Bank of India (Kerala) state meeting, including the self-proclaimed President Pervesh Musharraf, who is responsible for India’s Kargil war and the death of our brave soldiers, in the list of honoring deceased eminent persons, is tantamount to insulting India and the Indian Army.

There is an honorable mention for Musharraf in the state conference proceedings. The program will be inaugurated by IICC General Secretary K. C Venugopal MP and It is interesting to note that the commemoration is being prepared for Pervez Musharraf on the 25th anniversary of the arrival of terrorists (actually they are soldiers working for Pak Rangers) in Kashmir in 1999 and the Indian Army drove them out on the orders of Pervez Musharraf, then the Pakistan Army Chief and later President.

567 soldiers lost their lives and more than 1300 soldiers were maimed in the Kargil war. Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated in India every year on 26th July. Through this historic victory Indian Army captured Kargil, Ladakh and all strategic areas previously held by Pakistan Army. This day commemorates the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers who bravely defended the country’s sovereignty.

This victory against Pakistan was one of the most important moments of the Indian Army during the war. The Bank of India staff union has taken a derogatory stand on this.
