Army Constructs 24-Ton Capacity, 190-Feet Long Bailey Bridge in Record Time

Mundakai: Major General Vinod Mathew said that the bridge was constructed in record time. The parts of the bridge were brought from Bangalore by road. The materials arrived yesterday afternoon. The bridge was made a reality by working hard day and night. It was built by Madras Engineering Group.

Captain Puran Singh Nathawat of Kannur Defense Security Forces (DSC) is coordinating the construction work. The materials were brought to Wayanad in 17 trucks from Bengaluru. After hours of hard work by hundreds of soldiers, the bridge will be ready by noon.

With this, the rescue operation will enter the second phase. The bridge will have a capacity of 24 tons. Vehicles can move smoothly. Equipment and vehicles will be brought to Mundakai via the Bailey bridge. Then the path will be corrected and the smile will be brought to the knee. Wayanad is the biggest disaster in recent times. Troops will remain in the area until the rescue operation is over. More than 500 soldiers from Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur, Kozhikode and Bengaluru are carrying out rescue operations in the face of disaster.
