Delhi: Health Minister Veena George is expected to arrive in Delhi again today. It is anticipated that she will have a meeting with the Union Health Minister after noon, possibly between 2 and 3 PM.
During her last visit to Delhi, she sought time to meet Union Health Minister JP Nadda to discuss the Cuban delegation, but was unable to secure an appointment as it coincided with the parliamentary session. As a result, two requests were submitted to the Union Minister’s office. In the request, it was asked to increase the incentives for health workers.
The requests also include the immediate release of the 637 crore rupees that were withheld during the 2023-24 financial year, approval for AIMS, and assistance for the medical colleges in Kasaragod and Wayanad. These issues are expected to be discussed again in today’s meeting.
