Thiruvananthapuram: After differences of opinion with Transport Minister Ganesh Kumar, Biju Prabhakar has been removed from all posts under the Transport Department. The Kerala Transport Development Finance Corporation (KTDFC) chairman has also been removed from the post of the order. Labor Department Secretary K. Vasuki has been given additional charge of KDTFC.
Earlier, he had given a letter to the Chief Secretary requesting that he be removed from the posts of Transport Secretary and KSRTC MD. After this he went on leave. He was transferred from the post of Transport Secretary on February 19 last. The action was taken on the day he returned to work after his leave.
The change was from the Road and Water Transport Department. Instead, he was appointed as the Secretary of the Industries Department. Biju Prabhakar continues to hold additional charge of Railways, Metro and Aviation.
