Lookout notice for four absconding accused in Pookod Veterinary University student Siddharth death case. The look out notice is for Saud Rishal, Kashinathan, Ajay Kumar and Sinjo Johnson. All four of them are in the first accused list. The police reached Kollam in search of the absconding accused Sinjo Johnson. It was found that Sinjo brutally beat up Siddharth.
In total 18 accused in the case, seven are absconding. The college had suspended 18 students in connection with the incident. Also, the anti-ragging committee of the college has banned 31 students from studying.
19 students have been banned for three years and 12 students for one year. They can no longer study anywhere in recognized institutions. The committee has also directed to expel these students from the college hostel. The anti-ragging squad had taken evidence from teachers and students in the past few days. Out of this, 31 people were found guilty.
Action has also been taken against the students of the hostel. All those who watched the violence were suspended from the college for seven days. During these days it is also not possible to enter the hostel. The punishment is for those who were in the hostel on February 16, 17 and 18. The action belongs to the anti-ragging committee. The Internal Grievance Redressal Committee has also clarified that students can appeal to the VC if they wish.
