In Vattamala, Kalanjoor, Pathanamthitta, a local BJP leader was assaulted for preventing alcohol consumption and drug trafficking. Vattamala Shashi, the General Secretary of the BJP Koodal Area Committee, was the victim of the assault.
The accused, Saneesh, has been taken into custody by the Koodal police. Vattamala Shashi had been actively working to stop the sale of narcotic substances in the area. Following this, the accused Saneesh attacked Shashi using a wooden stick. Shashi, who sustained injuries, sought treatment at Konni Medical College Hospital.
