New Delhi: The Supreme Court will consider granting interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is in jail in the liquor corruption case, as it is election season. The bench comprising of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta stated that it will consider the interim bail application on Tuesday, May 7.
The court also directed the central agency and Kejriwal to prepare a lawyer. The court sought direction from the Enforcement Directorate on what bail conditions should be included. The case was adjourned to Tuesday due to delay in completion of arguments. The court was asked to take note of the statements made by other Aam Aadmi Party leaders who have been granted bail.
