Idukki: A bus carrying Sabarimala pilgrims lost control and overturned on the road in Idukki. The accident that occurred around 10 am today injured six Ayyappa devotees. The mini bus, which was carrying pilgrims from Chengalpet, Tamil Nadu, met with an accident near Peruvanthanam in Idukki.
The bus lost control near a bend in the road and overturned. Immediately, other vehicles and locals rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations. The injured were admitted to a private hospital in Mundakkayam. None of the injuries were serious. Traffic was disrupted on the road for a long time following the accident.
