Director Ranjith Granted Anticipatory Bail in Youth Assault Case. Ranjith was granted bail by the Kozhikode Principal Sessions Court. Temporary bail is for thirty days. The court granted anticipatory bail to Ranjith on two personal sureties of Rs 50000.
The complaint was filed against Ranjith by a young man from Mangaon. A case has been filed against Ranjith under IT Act.
The young man got acquainted with Ranjith during the filming of the movie Bavuttiyude Namathil.The complaint was that Ranjith, who had given the phone number to the young man who was looking for an opportunity in the film, was later molested in Bangalore. The young man had also alleged that he had sent his nude pictures to actress Revathi.
