Vadakara Kafir Screenshot Controversy; High Court Urges Police to Take Proper Action

The High Court has ended the proceedings in the petition filed by accused Muhammad Qasim in the Vadakara fake kafir screenshot case. The police had earlier informed that they could not find that Muhammad Qasim had made the fake screen shot. It was the position of the investigation team that it first reached the leftist cyber WhatsApp groups and could not find where it started.

The single bench stated that it is not interfering in the case and directed that the further steps of the police should be in the right direction. The court also stated that Mohammad Qasim can approach the Magistrate’s Court requesting the cancellation of the case against him. The High Court also directed to complete the investigation without delay. Petitioner Muhammad Qasim demanded that it is necessary to find those who forged the document and send the phones of those who spread the fake screen shot for scientific testing. However, the High Court clarified that there may be thousands of phones and the investigation team cannot be asked to check all of them.
