Chennai: Actor Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth are officially divorced. The Chennai Family Court issued the order , approving the divorce. The court granted the divorce after both Dhanush and Aishwarya confirmed they could not live together. The final hearing was held on the 21st of this month, during which both appeared in court.
Earlier, the case was considered three times, but neither Dhanush nor Aishwarya attended any of those sessions. In 2022, Dhanush and Aishwarya, who is also a director, announced their separation through a joint statement. Speculations about reconciliation surfaced recently due to their absence at prior hearings.
Dhanush and Aishwarya were married in 2004. Reflecting on their journey, they described it as an 18-year partnership as friends, spouses, parents, and well-wishers, characterized by growth, understanding, compromise, and adjustment. “Today, we stand at a point where our paths are diverging,” they stated.
