Kochi: MLA Uma Thomas was seriously injured after falling from the Kaloor International Stadium in Kochi on the evening of December 29. Uma Thomas is still undergoing treatment following the incident. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan visited the MLA at a private hospital in Kochi.
The Chief Minister arrived at the Rinai Medicity Hospital in Kochi along with leaders including Minister K.N. Balagopal and CPM District Secretary C.N. Mohanan. He came to meet Uma Thomas before leaving for Kolkata for the CPM Central Committee meetings.
The seriously injured MLA was taken off the ventilator the other day. The Chief Minister went to the room and met the MLA. He asked about his health. The doctors said that after another week of treatment, they will assess the situation and consider sending him home.
