Thiruvananthapuram: The body of Neyyattinkara Gopan Swami is being brought from Neyyattinkara Hospital to his home in Aralamoot today in a procession. A new mandapam called ‘Rishipeetham’ has been prepared at the same place as the samadhithara that was demolished the other day.
Monks from various monasteries will lead the funeral rites. The new samadhi has been constructed by demolishing the previously built samadhi. The funeral will be held at 4 pm.
Meanwhile, Gopan Swami’s son Sanandan has come forward to apologize for his anti-Muslim remarks in the Samadhi case. Sanandan explained that if there was any mention of Muslim extremists behind the complaint, he apologizes and that he made the remarks in a state of mind at the time.
