Complaint Alleges SFI Leader PM Arsho Granted PG Admission Illegally Despite Failing BA

Thiruvananthapuram: SFI leader admitted to PG without passing BA. Save University Campaign Committee filed a complaint. SFI State Secretary PM Arsho has been admitted to the five-year Archeology Integrated Course at Ernakulam Maharajas, a government-run autonomous college. The Save University Campaign Committee submitted a petition to the Governor, MG VC and the government to expel Arshaw and take action against the principal.

The SFI leader was admitted in 7th semester equivalent to PG without passing 6th semester equivalent to degree. Arsho has only 10% attendance while 75% attendance is required to write fifth and sixth semester exams. Arsho, who did not even appear for the exam, was given admission to the integrated PG class on the special instructions of the principal, despite these conditions.

As Maharaja’s College is autonomous, MG University has no control over admission, attendance, class promotion, examination conduct and declaration of results. The University is responsible for awarding full degree certificates to students recommended by the Principal.
