Alappuzha: Suspects arrested in Subhadra’s murder. The accused Mathews and Sharmila were arrested from Manipal in Karnataka. Both were absconding after the murder.
The murder was to get Subhadra’s gold and money. After the murder, the accused escaped by burying the cremation. The police investigation also found that Subhadra’s gold was sold in Alappuzha.
The police found that the pit had been dug. The police concluded that Subhadra, a shopkeeper, was brought by Sharmila and Mathew to her house in Kalavur, Alappuzha, because they wanted gold and money. The accused had already confirmed that Subhadra should be killed to steal everything.
