The Malayalam film industry is mourning the loss of Kaviyoor Ponnamma. Statements made by Ponnamma and her daughter about each other have resurfaced on social media, drawing attention once again. Her daughter is currently in America. “My second grandson, Venkitta Raman, is married to Bindu. They have a son and a daughter. My son-in-law is a professor at a university,” Ponnamma shared.
The daughter’s complaints about her mother were first brought up by Brittas. “Bindu said that her mother didn’t take care of her. What does Ponnamma Chechi have to say about that?” Brittas asked. “It’s unfortunate,” Ponnamma replied.
I took care of her as much as I could. But I had to work to provide food. A child wouldn’t understand that, but even after she grew up, she was extremely stubborn.”
“I did all I could, gave her everything with the time I had. That stubbornness remains to this day, and the complaints never end. It doesn’t make me sad.
