The High Court has termed Dileep’s VIP darshan at Sabarimala as a serious matter, questioning what special privileges are granted to such individuals. After reviewing CCTV footage from in front of the steps, the court observed that Dileep’s darshan was facilitated by preventing other devotees from proceeding.
The court examined the footage of the darshan session in an open hearing and pointed out that all individuals in the first row were stopped. It also raised the question of who gave authority to block the devotees. The court emphasized that no one should receive special treatment at the Sabarimala steps.The Devaswom Board and the police have been directed to ensure that such incidents do not occur again in the future. The court will revisit the matter tomorrow.
