Palakkad: Double-decker train is coming to Kerala for the first time. Coimbatore – K.S.R. The trial run of Bengaluru Uday Express to Palakkad will be held on Wednesday. The first double-decker AC in the Uday Express series of Railways. This is a chair car train.
The train will leave Coimbatore at 8 AM on Wednesday and reach Palakkad Town at 10.45 AM and Palakkad Junction at 11.05 AM. It will depart back at 11.35 and reach Coimbatore at 2.40 to end the trial run.
The trial run is being conducted jointly by the Salem and Palakkad divisions of the Southern Railway. This day was chosen for the test run because Uday Express does not operate on Wednesdays. The timing of the train has not been finalised.
