Kalpatta: Dr. K. S. Anil has been appointed as the VC of Pookode Veterinary University. Anil is a professor at Mannutthi Veterinary College. The new appointment comes in the wake of the resignation of Dr. PC Saseendran due to the Governor’s deep dissatisfaction.
The VC withdrew the suspension of 33 students after Siddharth’s death was controversial. It was also alleged that the suspension was withdrawn under external influence.
Then the Raj Bhavan intervened in the matter. Former VC Dr. MR Sashindranath had been suspended earlier by the Governor.
